A spare change friendly project, and a deadline long gone...

Sara sans-H brought Seams to Me here yesterday, the second to last project screamed 'Spare Change' . I almost immediately started sorting and cutting my precious squares, You'll need 20 squares for hexagons and 12 for pentagons, I think I'll make my pentagons all in one fabric ( maybe...). It's going to be a lot of Y-seams and therefore will be my Christmas present for Finn, just because. I am so excited to use off my precious squares!

I need to do something today, now, this very instant! my swap block for busy little quilt bee. It must be about one month late, bad swapper you.

I am on it! See:

It got finished while writing this post and I just love love love it! ( how not-so-humble of me, sorry!).
I have been feeling a bit intimidated by everybody's charming wonkiness and getting a sewers cramp, but just decided to do my thing and the super straight cross look so precious to me, I want to make more!

Glad I'm not the only one loving the hexagons lately! What a great Christmas gift that will make. Finn is one lucky guy. I think the little person fabric is my favorite. Your cross block looks great, charming even without the wonkiness! :)

Your cross block is amazing!!!I love it.
Late? what's that? I'd call it right on time!

That patchwork ball is going to be so great in those fabrics! Finn is going to love it! Your swap block is wonderful!

Oh, I'm seeing one of the fabrics I sent for the swap as one of your hexagons - so cool! I can't even think about what to make with my Spare Change fabrics until after Christmas. Well, I'll think now, but no time to act.

You've just been awarded by me...T xo

What a cute ball! Definitely fun for your swapper's stash! I got mine in the mail yesterday and I can't tell you how unbelievably fun all of the fabric is. I got one of the beloved peas and the elephants in your picture above and the eiffel tower and 21 other fabulous blocks. Thank you, THANK YOU!!! for all of your generosity and time in making this happen!

I got my squares today - THANK YOU!!! How fun to participate in my very first swap, and I see some of the fishy fabric I contributed in your hexagon project.

Thank you again for organizing this and to everyone for participating!

I love your block so much better than mine. Ever since someone commented that it looked like a swastika, that's all I can see when I look at it.

I picked my blocks up Wednesday and am excited to start something with them but of course I have other projects I must finish first. They will act as a catalyst for me, urging me on so that I can finish what I already have on my list!

Oh I LOVE those fabrics! I can see I'm going to be kicking myself for weeks for not having gotten my Spare Change Swap squares sent in... Rats!

I recently found a tutorial for a little ball like this. I have plans to make them for my grandbabies.

I found this today and thought it may give some ideas for the spare change blocks. There are some beautiful quilts on here.

I love the ball idea for your spare change pieces.
